Ampenberger Family Fundraising Page for Harvest Walk 2010

Dear Friends!

The three of us are looking forward to do the 5k Harvest Walk on Saturday October 3rd to raise funds for HOPE Worldwide again. This is the fifth time we participate in the Harvest Walk of our Church that benefits Hope Worldwide.

The Harvest Walk is the first event in a series we have every year, to support families and individuals in need. We call this "The Season of Service" with the following other events. Please let us know, if you like to participate in or support any of these events in addition to the Harvest Walk.

  • Annual Harvest Walk, October 3rd, Franklin Park, Boston, MA

  • Thanksgiving Food Drive, November 2010, all Church regions

  • Annual Christmas Toy Drive, December 2010, all Church regions

  • Annual Christmas Celebrations for Foster Children, December 2010, several locations across the greater Boston area, including Haverhill and Lawrence.

  • Martin Luther King Day of Service, January 15th, 2010, several locations across the greater Boston area

HOPE Worldwide has many projects all year round, both locally and internationally. Please have a look at HOPE Worldwide's web page at http://www.hopeww.org/, to learn more about HOPE Worldwide. The “Honduras Medical Brigades” is especially on our hearts. A number of volunteers that we know personally, both with and without backgrounds in health care visited Honduras during this past summer. They provided much needed medical services for free and had many touching memories to share.

One of the amazing things about Hope is that the organization generates over $20 dollars for every $1 donated through partnerships with governments and businesses world wide. So every dollar of your giving has a much greater impact! Also administrative costs are very low - 91% of all funds go directly to programs.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fund-raising efforts.

Thank you so much for helping those in need by helping us reach our donation goal!

Leviticus 25:35-36

35 If one of your countrymen becomes poor and is unable to support himself among you, help him as you would an alien or a temporary resident, so he can continue to live among you. 36Do not take interest of any kind from him, but fear your God, so that your countryman may continue to live among you.
