After several years of composing next to nothing and rarely playing the piano because I was simply to exhausted after a full day of work as an administrative assistant, I have decided to leave my job in July and find something part-time to allow me to return to my first love-- music!  

This compose-a-thon couldn't come at a more opportune time, as I need some encouragement to write a piano piece to be performed in May.  I plan to compose for at least 30 minutes a day for the three weeks of this compose-a-thon to finish this piece.  

In addition, I truly believe in the quality of music education that students receive at the Walden School.  I was a student for three summers and would return in a heartbeat if I could.  This fundraiser is an excellent way to get me composing again and support a cause about which I care deeply.
