As you may know, I was diagnosed in 2002 with SLE Lupus Cerebritis and was offered a rare opportunity to be a spokesperson in creating awareness about Lupus. Through these campaigns with the AdCouncil and the Lupus Foundation of America, I was able to lend my voice and share my personal story for those who may be suffering in silence as I did before my diagnosis. I am continuing my efforts in raising awareness by writing to ask you for your support.

I will be participating in this year's Walk for Lupus Now in Cranford, NJ on Sunday, October 23 to benefit the Lupus Foundation of America. Walk for Lupus Now is the signature event of the LFA which is the national nonprofit voluntary health organization dedicated to finding the causes of lupus and providing support, services, and hope to all people affected by this condition.
