Dear Friends,

 

On October 10^th, Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge is holding a huge event called the “Mutts Marathon”. Pet owners and animal lovers can come out to WALK and to lend a paw for our shelter. We’ll have exhibits, demonstrations, giveaways, entertainment and fun for the whole family to enjoy!! I am personally inviting you to this event and because I am participating in the “walk”, was wondering if you could donate even a small amount to our cause. Every little bit counts, even $5.00 and would be so greatly appreciated. 

 

As an adoption counselor and volunteer, I take such joy from knowing there are people out there with amazing hearts and huge compassion, like the sweet little old lady who adopted Necessity, a 9 yr old cat who lived 9 of her years at RBARI, and the wonderful family who adopted Ned, the 12 year old poodle with all his “special needs”! We witness many sad stories on a daily basis, but these adoptions touch my heart like no other. 

 

RBARI is a privately run shelter which does not receive ANY state, local or government funding. We rely solely on your donations, our adoption fees (which cover basic boarding and ANY medical costs) and fundraising events like the Mutts Marathon. Check out our website www.RBARI.org for more info or come stop by and see for yourself what an amazing job our staff and wonderful volunteers do to provide support, medical care, lots of love and even training to help place our furry friends into their forever homes.
