Me and my husband found out when I was 20 weeks pregnant that our beautiful baby girl has spina bifida. At that time we really knew nothing about it nor did we ever hear of it. We prepared from that date on finding the best doctors and what are some of things we may need to be aware of in giving our beautiful 10 pound 7 ounce, 23 inch long baby girl the best life that we could. Today, she is the sweetest and happiest little girl, she never had to be shunted and walks with a walker. She has such a warm heart and makes you fall in love with her once she looks at you with those beautiful blue eyes and long eyelashes. Although she will have many challanges through the rest of her life, we are living day by day and hoping that there will always be many options out there to help make her life as normal as possible. Thank You so much in advance for any help that you can extend to the Spina Bifida Association of Illinois by donating to my page. We hope that you can join us on Sunday, April 15th at Centennial Lanes in Tinley Park at 12:30 p.m.
