As I reflect on the Chicago Marathon experience, I'm humbled by what God has done.
My knee pain flared up at mile 1, but with God's grace, I was able to endure the pain and finish the race. The parallels between training for a marathon and our Christian walk has been made even more real to me in going through this experience. I finished the race in 6 hours and 10 minutes. It wasn't how I planned to run, but it's how God planned for me to run and He gets the glory!
Race day was cold, but the memories from the race day will keep me warm.
There were 1200 runners who ran with Team World Vision. It was amazing to be part of this team and seeing so many orange jerseys throughout the race course. Our goal as a team, is to raise $1 million dollars for Africa, like clean water. So far, we've raised $700,000, which is awesome! There's still time to make a contribution to help those who live on less than $2 a day. Carla and I have signed up to sponsor a child in Uganda through World Vision.

Thanks for your partnership and for making a difference in this world.
God Bless.
