Chris and Brendan's Fundraising Page
It was a cold Thanksgiving morning in 2001. Two rivals met on the field to continue an endless tradition with blue skies and a chilled air. Brendan stood on the sideline donned in blue and gold, while Chris rocked his maroon and gold uniform. Brendan cheered on the Bishops while Chris endured the hardships of the battle for the Cardinals. The war was waged for hours described similar to battles fought by the Spartan 300 or William Wallace and his Celtic brethren. In the end, the Archbishop Williams Bishops claimed victory against the Cardinal Spellman Cardinals, but soon after this day a stronger bond would emerge.
Brendan and Chris were able to see past the bitter rivalry they once lived in high school and set aside their differences by joining forces as Chieftains at Stonehill College mastering the art of bachelors, or Bachelor of Arts. The trials and tribulations continue today in South Boston, where they can be found each and every Saturday running the streets of Southie in preparation for April 20th.
Ok..Let me cut to the chase! We are running the Boston Marathon this April 20th for Team Brigham. Specifically ,100% of the funds we raise with your support will be dedicated to the Center for Community Health and Healthy Equity at Brigham and Women's Hospital. The CCHHE works closely with other community organizations such as the Student Success Jobs Program, Passageway, and Connecting Hope, Assistance and Treatment Program, which provides financial assistance to women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Our goal is to raise $6,000 by June 15th. You can donate through this link or you can mail checks to Suzanne Leidel at:
