Mitchell Middle School Athletic Fundraiser
Mitchell Middle School needs your help! Due to budget cuts, the sports programs were cut severely during the 2010/2011 school year. During the past school year Mitchell has only been able to offer a fraction of the team sports previously available. Other district schools have been able to maintain their sports’ teams due to the support of private and corporate funds. It is our goal to raise $15,000 by August 2011. This will ensure a full athletic program for the 2011/2012 school year. Your contribution will go directly to help pay for coaching, uniforms, and equipment.
It is our hope that as family, friends and neighbors, you will recognize the importance of school athletics and will help support our efforts by contributing a donation. School athletics are important for many reasons, not only do they build school and community spirit, they encourage self esteem , students learn to be recognized for skills learned along with the value of hard work and commitment to a team.
