As we have seen across the country, the anti-LGBT establishment is strong and organized. In response, our two grassroots organizations have been working hard on the ground to counteract their messaging. They're calling us Stonewall 2.0 (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/10/us/10marriage.html).
With very limited funding, our two groups have organized major protests, facilitated campaign boot camps, walked door-to-door to change hearts and minds, and created successful LGBT media campaigns. Today, with your support, we can raise the funds to keep our grassroots work going strong. And we welcome your input, so please feel free to leave comments and suggestions on this page!

Who we are:
FAIR (Freedom. Action. Inclusion. Rights.)
With its finger on the pulse of the passion and potential within our generation, FAIR is revolutionizing what it means to be young and active. Stepping up to galvanize emerging leaders after the passage of Proposition 8, our group brings together the skills, passion, and determination of young professionals from diverse backgrounds. We are committed to ensuring that the struggle for LGBT equality has a visible face, image, and message. FAIR's first event occurred on November 15th, 2008 when we brought 15,000 people to City Hall and asked Shepard Fairey to create the 'Love Unites' image - which is now a unifying symbol at equality events across the globe. The true impact of our mission culminates with the launch of FAIRforward, a micro-fund that provides the financial and human capital needed to support up-and-coming activists in their efforts to change the world.
EQUAL ROOTS COALITION
The Equal Roots Coalition serves as an activist hub where LGBTQIA citizens can work to improve the lives of LGBTQ people in Los Angeles County and beyond through direct action and innovative organization. Through this open network and space we hope to ensure that each new generation of LGBTQIA activists will be well equipped to tackle the challenges that face our community.
All donations collected will be held by the registered 501(c)3 non-profit "White Knot 4 Equality", the official fiscal sponsor of Equal Roots Coalition. After a 5% fiscal sponsorship fee, the balance will be made available to Equal Roots Coalition to address the expenses of approved joint-venture projects with FAIR or other expenses advancing LGBT equality as determined by organizational leaders.
