Many of you know me and have contacted me many times about how to go after grants, discuss ideas on how to help your community, start an organization, help the homeless, or just to talk about non profits and different causes you care about.  I may have met you at fundraising events, or a government training.  You may have attended my grant writing class at Rock City Church or at a networking event for non profits.  Or you are one of my family members and I decided to ask you all to help me!!!  

No matter where we have met, or how you know me, I wanted to let you know about a cause I deeply care about.   And I hope that you will help me raise money to aid this transitional home for pregnant young girls and their newborn infants.  The program I am talking about is called the Hiding Place, Inc and it operates in Baltimore, MD.  

I have a goal to raise $10,000 so these young ladies and their newborns will have a home to reside in and a chance for a fresh start in life.  These ladies need a safe haven because some are fleeing domestic abuse.  Some are homeless, or have been rejected from families and friends.  Many of them have had terrible lives, while others are in a crisis, are pregnant and simply have no support system to help them.

So I am asking all of you to help me.  Each year this program helps 20 women and their newborns.  It cost us $44.00 a day to help one girl and her newborn child with housing, transportation, meals and connection to ongoing services.  This is an ongoing appeal, and as you look at the pictures and see some of the beautiful children and moms we have assisted, I am sure your heart will go out to them and support our efforts.

I hope that you will consider a gift of $44 to cover one days cost to assist a mom and her newborn child as they move towards success and plan for the future.
