Abby was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma brain tumor on March 3, 2006 at the age of 23 months.  After undergoing surgery to remove the tumor, Abby endured twelve months of chemotherapy and six weeks of daily radiation.  Her treatment ended on May 28, 2007, and Abby thoroughly enjoyed her summer.  Now three and half years old, Abby started preschool this fall, and she absolutely loves it.  Due to a scheduled, routine follow-up, Abby had a head and spine MRI on Friday, September 28th which revealed a drop metastases in her spine.  Her spine had always been cancer free prior to this MRI.  Abby will begin  treatment the week of October 22nd.  To read more about Abby, please visit her Care Page at www.carepages.com,  Patient: abbysmith12.
