Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!  Many of you know I volunteer with ARFhouse Chicago and how important animal rescue is to me.  We're holding a fundraiser on September 25, a 15-mile bike ride or 5K walk in Skokie.  I help organize this event and will be working at the event.  I'll take a few ARFhouse dogs to the park to complete the walk ahead of time. 

Rescued animals have played a big part in my life.  All of my pets were found as strays or rescues.  My current cats Dexter and Bella were found in a Chicago alley when they were only 5 weeks old.  This Labor Day marks their 10th birthday!  They make me smile everyday.

ARFhouse Chicago is unique, we take in all kinds of dogs, many that other shelters would turn away.  In our 4 years of operation we've placed over 550 dogs.  Fundraisers like this are crucial to our growth and will help us continue to reduce the number of great pets that are euthanized.  It doesn't take much to make a difference, just $25 will spay/neuter one of our animals, $50 will cover a heartworm test.  Even $5 will help towards critical supplies like a microchip.
