Huntington's Disease Walk for the Cure
Hello everyone! Thank you so much for visiting my web page for the 2006 HDSA Walk at UCI.
It is time for the 4th annual Orange County Huntington Disease Society of America (HDSAOC) Walk on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the UC Irvine Campus. This annual event is held to provide awareness, education and funds for HD research. I'm sure you all know this is a cause near and dear to my heart and my family, which is why I'll be out there with my walkin' shoes! Our team, TEAM BOB, will be walking in honor of my father-in-law, who has this terminal disease. We will be out there walking for Bob and all those who not only have this disease, but the family members who are affected by it. Please support me in this quest by considering a donation to HDSA via this site. Any amount you can give (is tax-deductible) and will bring us closer to the overall Walk Goal of raising $150,000 for HD research. Donating through this site is quick and secure.
Thank you so much for your financial and emotional support! God bless you...................................Chrystelle
What is Huntington's Disease?
Huntington's Disease is a progressive degenerative neurological disease that causes total physical and mental deterioration over a 12-15 year period. Every person who has HD is born healthy and lives normal lives until symptoms set in. Often times, symptoms don't manifest themselves until the person is middle-age, after having children and passing the gene. For more information about HD, please visit our website www.hdsaoc.org
Join our walk team, Team Bob! We'll meet at the Walk, walk together, take an official Team Photo together, and celebrate our fundraising successes together. Send me an e-mail! clevercookie369@yahoo.com
