Zimmerman Family walking for an HD-Free Future
Dear friends and family:
I’m writing you to ask if you would consider coming out and walking with us at the 6th annual HDSA walk-for-a-cure on September 27, 2008 at the UC Irvine campus. We are raising money to fund research toward a cure. You need only raise $25 to register for the walk and that money goes to research being conducted right here at UC Irvine in Orange County. If you can’t come out and walk with us, please consider a tax-deductible donation to HDSA.
As most of you know, our family is personally affected by the HD monster. In November of last year, we lost Ethan’s beloved father, Robert Zimmerman to Huntington’s Disease. He spent the last 13 years in convalescent care and finally ended his battle with HD on November 7th, when he went home to be with the Lord. We don’t want others to have to go through what he did. You know our son, Taige will never have to go through what Bob did because he is 100% HD-free due to the advanced technology of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) and In-vitro fertilization (IVF). He is truly our miracle baby! If you or a member of your family is at-risk for a genetic disease, you may call me for more information on PGD IVF. I’d be happy to share my experience with you.
So, we’re loading up Taige in the jogger, putting on our walking shoes, and going down to walk for a cure on September 27th. Please join us in this fight against the evil HD monster! We can do all things through Christ who strengthens US…now let’s go fight this thing!
If I could hug you right now, I would! God bless you.
Love from the Zimmerman family (Triple Z)
Ethan, Chrystelle and Taige
