LEAD THE WAY FUND INC

TOBAY Triathlon 2010 Oyster Bay,  New York

Chuck's Fundraising Page - Tobay Triathlon

Dear Family & Friends,

On August 29th, twenty-four teammates and I will brave the hills and seas of the Tobay Triathlon on behalf of the Lead The Way Fund, which was created in honor of fellow Chaminade High School alumnus Sgt. James J. Regan.  Jimmy gave his life defending our country in Iraq in 2007 while serving with Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. I have committed to raise $3,000 for this tremendously awesome charity and I am writing to ask for your support.

Lead The Way Fund, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization established to raise funds in support of families of U.S. Army Rangers who have died, have been disabled, or are currently serving in harm's way around the world. In honor of Sgt. James J. Regan’s service and sacrifice, the funds raised will provide spouses and children of deceased, disabled or active duty Rangers with assistance for healthcare, education and other forms of financial aid that they often struggle to find elsewhere.

Chad and Steve, wounded Rangers who ran with our LTW team last year whose awesome families are beneficiaries of LTW funds, are as cool and humble as they are fearless and professional.  They and Lt. Col. Richard Clarke, commanding officer of the Ranger Regiment, are very grateful for everyone's support.

To learn more about the Lead The Way Fund, you can visit their website at www.leadthewayfund.org.  I also recommend watching this inspiring video about Jimmy, his fellow Army Rangers and Lead The Way: www.danbrennanmedia.com/leadtheway.html.  It motivates my every stride while training on the Long Beach boardwalk, in Central Park and on the shores of the North Fork.

If you would like to make a donation to Lead The Way by sponsoring my marathon run, please follow the steps above.  Every dollar counts and even a modest donation goes a long way for Ranger families in need.

Thanks a million for taking the time to read this letter. I hope it finds you enjoying your Summer.  Thank you in advance for your generous support.

Now off to go run the LB boardwalk!

Thanks,

Chuck
