London to Paris on a bike?! Mais oui!
Yep, you read that right! This spring, I'll be riding from jolly ol' London to gay Paris on a bicycle. The journey is over 300 miles and will take four days.
I'm dedicating the experience (saddle sores and all) to my dear friend, Lindsay. She died seven years ago having suffered from LAM disease. For 26 years, she shared her love and zest for life by positively impacting everyone she met.
The most basic explanation of LAM is when muscle tissue and cysts overtake healthy lung tissue, reducing lung capacity eventually leading to respiratory failure. LAM affects mostly women during their child bearing years. There is no known cure or treatment.
This is where I need your help!
I'm raising money for the LAM Treatment Alliance. They're a non-profit organization driving an aggressively funded, high-impact research strategy and fostering innovative patient partnerships in order to effectively treat and then eradicate LAM in time for patients living with the Disease today.
I've set my goal at $2500 (£1500). I ask that you please join me in donating to this very underfunded cause by clicking the Sponsor Me Now button. Just enter your credit card info into the secure page and voila! Every penny helps!
Thank you for your support and generosity!
