The mission of Iowa Kidstrong’s See-Us Run Des Moines is to help teens who face adversity in their lives learn that they are capable, resourceful and resilient to respond to life challenges by providing them the opportunity to experience first-hand the benefits of goal-setting, character development, adult mentoring and improved health through committing to, training for, and completing the Des Moines Marathon.

We'll do this by connecting students with a corps of caring adult mentors who help them imagine and accomplish goals beyond their dreams, including the completion of a marathon, a feat less than 1% of the population in the U.S. has achieved.

What will your donation go for?

• $235 sponsors 1 student runner
• $75 pays for a pair of running shoes
• $50 pays for a marathon/race uniform
• $30 pays for a sport watch
• $30 pays for a local race entry/transportation
• $25 pays for healthy post-run snacks
• $25 pays for a student handbook/journal

Donations in any amount are welcome and will help us fulfill the SRDM mission.
