Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN) is a human rights organization committed to ending violence against women, youth and children through support, education, advocacy and community organizing. We have worked to ensure safety and justice for women and children victims of interpersonal violence for over 27 years. Since opening our doors in 1979, SPAN has sheltered more then 8,318 women and children, responded to 154,770 crisis calls, counseled 19,258 individuals, and performed more then 9,216 educational presentations on interpersonal violence for youth and adults throughout Boulder and Broomfield Counties, the surrounding area and the country.
