Last August, I lost my ah-gong (ah-gong means "grandfather" in Taiwanese) to stomach cancer. It was very sudden and by the time we found out it was too late and the cancer already spread. It is my hope that the donation can go toward stomach cancer research and prevention, to help others to understand and fight the disease. Not a day goes by that I didn't think of him. It was not until I had lost him I realized how much he meant to me and how I took his love for granted while he was alive. It was painful to see him losing the battle to cancer. Had we caught it early, he would've still be alive.
