2009 NC Cure Pulmonary Hypertension Golf Tournament
Parker Romney
This year our Special Tournament Honoree is two-year old Parker Romney. He was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension (PH) when he was just 10 months old. A few weeks later, after complications from a cardiac catheterization, he spent 36 days including his 1st birthday, in the ICU. It was questionable as to whether he would survive. He finally came home from the hospital with oxygen, a permanent IV in his chest and several oral medications. More than a year has passed since then and Parker has made a lot of progress. He appears healthy thanks to his good doctors and the medications now available to treat PH. But we know with PH looks can be deceiving—the PH demon still lurks inside.
Finding a PH Cure is our hope and ultimate goal. Please consider making a tax deductible online donation. If you are still leery with online giving, make the check payable to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association with a note on the memo line "2009 NC Cure PH Golf" and mail to:
Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA)
801 Roeder Road
Silver Spring, MD 20910
All proceeds from this event will be allocated by PHA to benefit research efforts to find a CURE. Click on the blue link to the left for PH information.
Thank you for giving the gift of HOPE!
