The Justice League Dementors
To all who know me and my family DSES has create a happy healthy atmosphere for my boys and our family. I typically do the Sierra Cycle challenge as my big fundraiser for this wonderful non profit organization, which I will be doing this summer. But this fundraiser is a family event in which the whole family, including Tyler and Sean will be participating. We will be riding our skis and other adaptive equipment around the mountain from lift to lift, treasure hunting, geocaching and having an overall good time introducing the world on how much you can do with a disability. The boys just finished a junior race camp with a great paralympic coach that opened up all new possibilities. They will be participating in a biathlon in March for the 2nd year. I volunteered in February for the Wounded Warrior event that was the largest yet for the Event. We had so many excited servicemen excited with what they could do next in the world of Adaptive Sports. We had one Athlete determined that he will be the next gold medalist in the biathlon at the 2012 games in Russia. These our the doors that are opened everyday for a disable athlete that walks into Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra. Your contribution can change the life of a disabled person. I am proud that my whole family will be participating and fundraising in this fun event.
Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra is bringing FUNdraising onto the slopes of Mammoth Mountain for our second annual Slide-a-thon on Saturday, April 9th! We'll be sliding on skis, a snowboard or any piece of adaptive equipment while we raise money and awareness for people with disabilities. DSES is a volunteer based, non-profit that teaches more than 2,000 adaptive sports lessons per year. Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra believes the freedom and exhilaration of outdoor challenges changes lives. No one should be left behind simply because of a disability! Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this on to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
