Boston Marathon 2012
Hello and Welcome to my fundraising page!
Running the Boston Marathon has always been a personal goal of mine, and thankfully I am lucky enough to have received a charity number through Generation Excel for the 2012 Boston Marathon! 26.2 miles of endurance, strength, sweat, and CHEERS!
Generation Excel is more than just a foundation it is a movement powered by inspiration, courage, and passion dedicated in the fight against obesity in children and adults. Through impactful campaigns, motivating, educating, and providing proper support and tools Generation Excel has reached over 80 million people. In short they are extremely committed to win the battle against the epidemic of obesity. For more information on this foundations outstanding accomplishments, please visit their website at www.genexcel.org.
In order to participate I must meet my fundraising goal of $3,500 dollars. Any Donation is greatly appreciated and your contribution will help fund programs directly benefiting overweight children and adults through fitness programs and nutritional education. Donating through this website is completely secure, or if you prefer you can send a check made out to "Generation Excel" and mail it to Clare McDermott - 1306 Columbia Road, Unit 5D, Boston, MA 02127.
I have been training hard on my own as well as with a local South Boston running group and will continue to do so and keep everyone updated on my progress.
Most importantly THANK YOU so much for your support, and I will see you at the Finish Line!
Thank you,
Clare McDermott
