Thank you for visiting my Polar Plunge fundraising page. They say anyone with a little guts and a warm heart can take the Plunge and I am one of those folks. I’m collecting pledges from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support the more than 22,000 athletes of Special Olympics Illinois! Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.

The reason why i am doing this fundraiser is because i was an athlete when i was in high school.  I loved being an athlete, it gives you lots strength mentally and physicaly when you accomplish things like races or relays.  I believe everyone in the world should be able to perticipate in a sport if they want to and that includes people who have trouble with running and jumping.  So i am raising money to help these people with disibilities to train and finish there big race and get the great reward of doing something that you love.

To reward your generosity, I’m going to join over 3,600 people statewide who will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of winter as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Illinois.  As most of you know i am going to school for my criminal justice degree, so i would like to raise as much money as i possibly can to help these great athletes of Special Olympics.  As a fellow athlete i like to see these great  people get involved in sports just like i did when i was a crosscountry runner.  Everyone should have the chance to do sports and win something for there hard work.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the LETR Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois.
