It is that time again. Honetly, it is something that I dread each year, begging for money. But the need is there, so here I am. In the last year Claire has experienced a lot of highs and lows with her struggle with Rett Syndrome. She has started to use a computer to talk with and enjoys her new voice very much. However she has also started to have seizures and dystonia and sometimes can't hold her head up enough to see her computer. As we have encountered these new challenges we have also learned of great hope that is out there. The science is getting better and there is a human trial for a treatment for Rett Syndrome taking place as I type this. Doctors and therapist are learning more about Rett Syndrome and how it works, improving the quality of the girls lives that are affected by this while we wait for treatment. But all of this takes funding and that is why I reach out and ask for your support. The International Rett Syndrome Foundation not only funds research to accelerate toward a cure for rett, they also support doctors, therapist and families in sharing information and improving the daily lives of the girls. IRSF is an organization that has greatly helped our family as well as many others. We appreciate your support and thank you very much.
