Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

The UNC Dance Marathon is a year long fundraiser that is completely run by the students of UNC Chapel Hill. I have signed up to be a dancer for the 12th Annual Dance Marathon. The 24-hour marathon will ask each of the 1600 student volunteers to stand on their feet for 24 hours in a show of symbolic support for the doctors, nurses, social workers and families of NC Children's Hospital and to raise a minimum of $150 dollars each for the NC Children's Hospital. 

I hope to raise as much money as possible to support this cause, and I will need all the help I can get! Over the past eleven years the UNC Dance Marathon has raised over 2 million dollars to aid the hospital families of the NC Children's Hospital. 

You can support this great cause by sponsoring me as I stand for 24 hours on February 19th. If you don't fell comfortable donating over the internet, my email address is murphycm@email.unc.edu and feel free to email me for my address or another way to send any donations. 

At the end of the marathon the fundraising total will be announced, and I will make sure to send it to all of you so that you can know what a huge impact each donator can make in this effort and just how much these donations add up! 

The donations have made the following miracles possible, and these are just a few of the great things that have been done:

-Paid mortgages and rent to save family homes from repossession
-Supplied gas vouchers and meal tickets for hundreds of families
-Paid utilities for North Carolina families overwhelmed by medical bills
-Provided a graphing calculator for a long term patient who wished to continue his studies while in the hospital.
