Remembering Pamela ... five years on
Welcome to ETC's Remembering Pamela webpage.
Some updates
We have been able to increase our goal to $10,000, based on ETC's generous supporters!
Our "off-line" contributors' names do not automatically appear on this page, but we want to acknowledge them! Thanks to Aaron Pines, Claire & Richard Hangen, Frank Hodge, Aurelia Baer, Peter Miles, Sanna Serog, Cathy Davis, and Elaine Epstein.
Overview
It is five years since Educate the Children lost our founding director, Pamela Carson. As we celebrate her life, we also mark 15 years of ETC's success in Nepal, bringing education and empowerment to children and women.
To mark this milestone, we invite you to recognize Pamela's achievement in creating ETC and the work that has been accomplished. So much has happened since Pamela first enrolled three young boys in school during her first visit to Kathmandu.
Although ETC has grown considerably since its days as a one-woman operation, we are still a small, close-knit organization. Today there are three staff members based in the U.S. and 20 in Nepal, where the office is staffed entirely by dedicated Nepali professionals.
Pamela's story is testimony to a life well lived, and ETC's Board, staff and volunteers appreciate the opportunity to be part of that story. Join us as we renew our joint commitment to raising literacy and living standards in Nepal's communities. Make Pamela's vision come true.
Warm regards --
