Great Chesapeake Bay Swim
Almost 5 years ago, I was in a life altering motorcycle accident. I was left with numerous injuries, but the worse among them was a traumatic brain injury that still lingers today.
Thanks to all of my doctors, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, and dieticians, I have progressed from bed to wheelchair to walker and finally to where I am today - completing triathlons.
Because of doctors such as Dr. Kathleen Kortte and the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Rehabilitation Program, patients with traumatic brain injuires (TBI) are able to progress farther and faster than ever before and with the research going on at Johns Hopkins there is hope for even more progress.
On August 13, I have been selected to the ,Eat A Peach century ride in Westminster Maryland with my friend Anne Brennan. We will be swimming to raise money for Dr. Kortte and her program in order to help other patients and to show my appreciation for everything she and her program have done for me over the years.
Please take a minute to read about my journey and donate to this cause that is so near and dear to my heart.
Donations can be made online, or to avoid the processing fee, they can be sent directly to Johns Hopkins at (please make checks out to Johns Hopkins University and write Dr. Kortte/Corey Davis in the memo line):
