Dust off your running shoes, it's the 4th Annual Walk for Lupus Now! Join me and my family and friends as we head out to Kiwanis Park in Tempe to walk for Lupus on November 8, 2009!
I was diagnosed with Lupus (SLE) when I was 14 years old. SInce then I have had Chemotherapy (Cytoxan) 3 times and have been on Prednisone multiple times. I have had the big moon face and have been bald more times than I would like to remember. Because of all this chemo, I am unable to have children and only have 40% kidney function. I have a wonderful and giving sister who volunteered to be our surrogate and because of her generosity our beautiful baby girl was born on December 20, 2007.
There hasn't been a drug developed for Lupus in the past 50 years! Let's help change this horrifying fact by donating, sponsoring and/or participating in this year's walk. The money we raise will go to our local, Arizona chapter of the Lupus Foundation who will make sure our money is spent on research, education and awareness.
Last year we raised over $2500. Let's beat that goal this year and raise $3000.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Lupus Foundation of America - Arizona Chapter Inc! The Arizona Chapter is always looking for volunteers, so if you would like to get more involved, please email lfawalkaz@lupusarizona.org.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks from me and my family who appreciate your support more than you could ever imagine.
Don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
