Aura is a sweet, gentle giant currently in our care at The Lowell Humane Society.  For years she was used for breeding to make money for her owners, unfortunately none of that money was invested in Aura's own health. At 5 years old and no longer producing puppies she was surrendered to our shelter. This large breed girl had a difficult spay due to the many litters of puppies she had and is having medical difficulty recovering from surgery.

Aura has spent the last 5 days in critcal care at the veterinarian and is finally on the mend. Her round the clock care is already eating away at our medical fund and she will still need to see a cardiologist and receive an echocardiogram, in addition to the medications to keep her stable.
