Curtis Boyd's Fundraising Page
As some of you may know, I am participating in the Chicago Marathon on October 11, 2009. If you know me, then you know that I am not a runner by any means. Willow Creek has teamed up with World Vision (Christian Humanity Organization) to raise money for their efforts to help the impoverished in Africa get clean water by building wells.
I can honestly say that I am doing this for something much greater than myself and know that I could never complete a marathon on my own. Please take a moment to pray about making a financial contribution to my fundraising page and help me reach my goal of raising $1000. You can also learn more about World Vision from visiting my webpage or go to worldvision.org.
How many times do you go to Starbucks or a local coffeehouse throughout the week? How many times do you go out to eat?
I have decided to cut out all sweets, drink tap water (instead of bottle), cut down on the pop consumption, and eliminate Starbucks for the next 30 days. If you would like to join me in this effort by cutting out any of these just ONE time and donate the few dollars you would have normally spent, we can ALL make a difference!!!
World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.
You can support my efforts through Team World Vision by making a one-time tax-deductible donation.
