It all started when my joints became inflamed and it was painful to move. In May 2003, I was diagnosed with Lupus, a chronic inflammatory disease that can affect skin, joints, blood and kidney. Lupus affected my kidneys.

Unable to work fulltime, I helped my sister, Caecilia, to start a business. It aids small-scale Indonesian cashew farmers who produce high grade cashew nuts. Caecilia used the family recipe and her passion for cooking to create these delicious cashew nuts, while I created the company's branding and packaging using my love of food and design.

Now I am back on my feet again and working fulltime developing the cashew business. I have a mission to raise awareness about Lupus.
