We are excited to be participating in our 3rd Walk for Hope.  As many of you know, my nephew David has Juvenile Huntington's Disease. It is a genetic, degenerative brain disease with no cure or means to slow the progression.  Because so few are affected by HD it is considered an "orphan disease"; meaning that big pharmaceutical companies have no interest in investing in research to find effective treatments or a cure.  As a result, private fundraising is essential.  Your donation to HDSA will allow much needed research to continue.

David is an inspiration to our entire family.  He has an amazing outlook on life. He is persevering to complete his college education at Fresno State, and continues to work part time at Lowe's.  His faith in Jesus Christ continues to be at the center of his life.   He is committed to living life to the fullest, and does not let HD define his life or his plans for the future.

We welcome your donations, and invite you to join us at Roeding Park for this year's Walk for Hope.  You may register or make a donation at this site.  You may also register and bring donations the day of the walk, however, if you choose to register that day, please call my sister Lesa at 559-681-8865 as soon as possible, so that we can have a Team Taunton shirt waiting for you.  66 Team Taunton members were in attendance last year, and we would love to show David how much he is loved and supported with an even bigger team this year!
