Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 2011 Falmouth Road Race! 

I have run the Falmouth Road Race 15 years for various reasons each year.  Sometimes athletic and sometimes just to see if I can finish.  This year though I'll be running with a purpose for the Genesis Club House charity and the "Making Strides for Mental Health" Team.

My friend Diane put something on her FB status that struck me..

  BUT YOU DON'T LOOK SICK.??! -It's a daily struggle feeling sick on the inside while you look fine on the outside.

And, I understand that it is easy to explain a broken limb with a cast, a cut with a bandage, but what about mental illness?  Hard for others to sympathise and for you to get help when everything "appears" to be just fine.

The mission of Genesis Club is to assist individuals with a mental illness to attain employment, housing, wellness, and friendships.

Genesis Club members have the choice of work, education, social and housing opportunities.
