Thank you for considering a donation to Carl.  He is 8 years old and lives in the Philippines.   He is an only child, and lives with his Uncle and ailing Aunt since he was a baby as his parents both abandoned him.  So, not only is he forced to live in opressive poverty, he also has to deal with feeling abandoned by those who are supposed to love and support unconditionally.   What a sad way to start life!

The income of his Uncle and Aunt is a mere $34 a month.  Hardly enough to buy food for a week, not to mention live on for a month!  (it is obvious he doesnt eat enough, look at the size of his wrist/arm!)  I couldn't even imagine!  I could go out to dinner and a movie and blow double or triple that and not even think twice about it.   Puts it all into perspective doesn't it?

With this fundraiser I am hoping to be able to provide for an income generating project for Carl and his family.  I have requested information as to what would best be suited for the family, the best way to supplement their income.  I would prefer this over just giving money so that they can do something to sustain income for the future, and feel good about being able to provide for themselves.    I am waiting on a reply as to the specific project they want to start, but it is never too early to start raising the money.

Any donation will help this family more than you can imagine, and I would appreciate all the help in changing the life of this child, and changing his future for the better!
