Sk84aCure Round 2!
Hi All,
As year two rapidly approaches, we wanted to update on our plans for our next skate. Paul Monninger and Dan Bladykas are returning this year, as well as two new members! Skate 4 a cure would like to welcome Carlos Ramia and Jackson Abraham to the group!
With added support, comes added miles! This year we will be doing the Silver Comet Trail from the alabama border to Atlanta, GA. The skate will happen from June 2nd - 6th.
We are currently working on a number of different fundraising events!
We ask you to please donate by any means possible, as well as spread the word about this fundraiser. You can donate on this page, which is secure and with 92% of the proceeds benifitting the organization, the other percentage is covering the website to host this. Please click on the SPONSOR ME NOW link at the bottom of the page to donate.
Updates will happen periodically so please check back with us!
If you are interested in skating and becoming sponsored, please email Dan.Bladykas@blackbaud.com for more information.
Thanks so much for your support and keep giving!!!
Update: 6/01/10
Thanks everyone for their generous donations and support. The trip took us about two days, doing 46 miles in about 9 hours on the first day. The second day we were sore, but finished up by 3 oclock saturday. We met a ton of support along the trail. We are already in the planning state for skate for a cure 2011.
Thanks again to everyone who made this happen!

On April 30th 2010, Paul Monninger, Daniel Bladykas, Omar Guillemin, and Billy Gremler will be longboarding from Esom, Georgia (on the Georgia/Alabama border) to Smyrna, Georgia. This 60+ mile trip will take 3 days, and plenty of determination. Wearing all pink, we plan to spread the word of Breast cancer by handing out pink bracelets and brochures to fellow traverlers along the path. You can follow us for news and updates at www.twitter.com/skateforacure. We ask you to please sponser us by donating to this cause.
During our travels, a photo journal will be posted along with some videos of the trip.
