Rick's Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer
This webpage is dedicated to the memory of my husband, soul mate and best friend, Rick Sain. Pancreatic Cancer is a silent disease that is often undetectable until it has advanced beyond medical help. In Rick’s case, we had no inkling that anything was really wrong until the day I returned from scoring at the AT&T ProAm and saw how jaundiced he looked. On February 18, 2010, he was diagnosed with a Pancreatic tumor that had metastasized to his liver. On March 20, 2010, he was gone. It was like being run over by a freight train. Rick approached this disease like he did everything else in life – with courage and determination. I am thankful that he didn’t have to suffer long.
In the weeks before his death he talked about helping people like himself deal with this disease. It took over his body so quickly he didn't get to do that. This is a way for us to give back. In lieu of flowers, please help me contribute to pancreatic cancer research by donating to this fund in Rick’s name. Thank you for all of your love and support.
