Darren Black's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! As many of you already know, beep baseball has remained a very important part of my spring and summer months since 2001. This form of baseball, adapted for athletes who are blind, has afforded me the opportunity to challenge and overcome perceived limitations. I have achieved athletic success I never thought possible both individually and as a team player . I have had the opportunity to share my experience and sense of accomplishment with many persons adjusting to and living with blindness over the years including younger players just learning the game. It is a truly special and rewarding opportunity!
Please help me to catch, hit, and run my way to the 2010 Beep Baseball World Series and other regional tournaments with my team, the Boston Renegades. Your donation, however large or small, will help fund my participation in this adaptive form of America's past time. Most friends and family in past years have donated between $30 and $10. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. You can reach me at
blackd66@verizon.net if you have further questions or wish to donate by check.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
