COPS ON TOP of Chick-fil-A
Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page. IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO SUPPORT EVEN THOUGH THE EVENT IS OVER!!! Please help me get to the target of $10,000.00
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.
It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts.
Officers from the Cary Police Department were sitting on the rooftop of Chick-fil-A restaurant located at Stone Creek Village in Cary, North Carolina for three days!
The store is located at 1000 Valleystone Drive in Cary and the 3 days were April 19th 20th and 21st of 2007. Cops stood on top of this store and did not come down until the goal to raise money for special athletes was attempted to be met. Some of you may be asking why would someone do this and I say...
Because it is the right thing to do!
Competing in sporting events is challenging, time consuming and takes a great deal of money. The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is the driving force for these athletes to reach dreams they never thought were possible.
This charity event is totally volunteer and officers and other people working the event received no compensation except for the satisfaction of putting a smile on the face of a Special Olympics athlete.
We also had the largest inflatable McGruff in the World there that many people were able to get a photo opportunity with.
Many thanks for your support! More importantly... Thanks to the entire staff at Chick-fil-A, The entire Town of Cary and the Cary Police Citizens Assisting Police or CAP TEAM for helping the flame of hope stay alive and well in North Carolina.
