Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

I'm running the 2009 Marine Corps Marathon in DC on October 25th.  Last year I ran it to prove I could finish - I did.  This year I'm going to improve (finish faster and in less pain), and more importantly put those miles to work for a good cause.

As you may or may not know, Kristine's mom Joan (in the green shirt in the picture, shown along with Doug, the Murphy girls, and grandchildren) battled carcinoid cancer.  She passed away early in the morning of August 30th (2009) after fighting the disease like a champ for the past several years.  She was a beloved wife/mom/grammy and friend to many and has left a huge hole in our hearts.

In Joan's honor I'll be raising money and going the 26.2 mile distance, as part of the 'Caring for Carcinoid' team, for research against this disease (for which there is no cure - yet).

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.  Your donations directly fund research in the search for a cure.
