Hello,

 If you've joined me on this site than I hope that means you’re going to donate to the program.

So I'll give you a short recap.

Starting on 4/1/2010 I'll begin my thru hike of the Appalachian Trail.  For those who don’t know, the AT is a hiking trail that runs continuously from Springer Mt. in Georgia to Mt Katahdin in Maine, approx 2175 miles thru 14 states.

GA -75, NC-88, TN-293, VA-550, WV-4, MD-41, PA-229, NJ-74, NY-88, CT-52, MA-90, VT-150, NH-161 & ME-281 miles

I'm doing this as a benefit in memory of my brother Michael, with ALL money raised going to:

The Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country.

This is a program my wife Pam and I became involved with and feel very strongly about. It’s a program that assists people with physical and mental disabilities to be able enjoy a wide range of year round sports and outdoor activities.[skiing -snowboarding-snowshoeing-hiking- kayaking-golf-waterskiing-bicycling and the list goes on.

Michael was born mentally challenged, and he loved to visit us and go hiking, and spend time outside. So, to help others do this and other outdoor activities is a TRIBUTE to him and an HONOR for me.
