Jenn and I have been attending Engedi Church over the last few months and one of the things we love about the church is their focus on supporting causes locally and internationally. One of the causes our church supports is helping provide clean drinking water for those who do not have access to it.
Nearly 4.8 million people in Zambia have no access to clean, safe water; only 36 percent of the population has access to an improved water source. Engedi Church, where Jenn and I attend, partners with Living Water International to provide “sustainable, participatory water systems that meet the long-term needs of communities.” (More information at http://www.water.cc/about-lwi/our-approach/.)
Since moving to Holland almost 10yrs ago one of my bucket list items has been to ride in the Holland Hundred bike ride. I felt this was a great opportunity to cross this item off of my bucket list while raising funds to build clean water wells in Zambia. Did I mention that I will be riding the full 100 miles on my mountain bike? I am alsways up for an adventure.
Please consider supporting me in this ride.
Thanks for your support
