My step son, Joshua, participates in Special Olympics year round as a member of the Chittenden basketball team, softball team, individual and team bowling and the cross country ski team.  Each sport consists of 8 to 10 weeks of team practice leading up to state wide competition at the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter Games. 

Special Olympics provides Joshua access to sports he does not have elsewhere, physical training and exercise, friends and social activities.
