This year, as in the past three years, I will be running in memory of my son Nick.  He was a runner, scuba diver, lacrosse player, mountain biker and snow boarder but above all cared about the welfare of others, especially the homeless and hungry.

Nick would call me crazy running a marathon and training through the Boston winters.   He'd be proud, but still call me crazy.  It's one of the things I loved about him...he always called a spade a spade.
