Even though we have just reached our goal, please consider giving to support our efforts with abused children.   Budgets at shelters have been slashed over the past year, so every dollar makes a difference in their lives!

So, times are tough and the economy stinks. But we are not going to let that stop us from having a good time and helping out! On Saturday December 5th, our team is competing in the Third Annual Karma Kastles Sand Sculpting Competition and Fundraiser for Karma Krew.

In a nutshell, Karma Krew is a consciousness-raising and community mobilizing non-profit that infuses the world with more positive energy by promoting acts of kindness, service, and community outreach in its many forms. Their 30 volunteer chapters nationwide have been responsible for literally hundreds of hours of community service. They've planted tress; built houses; helped hurricane victims; soothed grieving families in the bereavement process; worked in soup kitchens; removed grafitti; painted schools; supported wounded soldiers; fed the homeless; and have created and implemented yoga-based empowerment programs for abused and neglected children living in shelters. This list goes on and on. Some time ago, this kind of charity work may have just been considered a nice gesture, but today, organizations like Karma Krew have become downright essential to the healthy functioning of our society and community. So, please take a moment and do your part by sponsoring our team for Karma Kastles.

• Donate $20 - this buys yoga mats for two children participating in Karma Krew's shelter outreach work
• Donate $50 - this supports a certified yoga teacher to bring yoga classes to abused children for one week.
• Donate $75 - this furnishes a local community krew with all the training materials they'll need to run community outreach programs for an entire year.
• Donate $200 - this brings yoga to a children's shelter for an entire month.
