Rufus was rescued in 1998. He was an abused dog and with a little time and a lot of love he has become and amazing boy. Many other Basset's don't have the kind of life that Rufus has. There are still many less fortunate bassets who suffer from abuse or are simply homeless. Guardian Angel Basset Rescue (GABR) is an amazing organization in which 100% of the money raised goes directly to the dogs.

On Sunday September 18th Rufus will particiapte in the 10th anniversary Basset Waddle in Dwight Illinois. This is the year's single largest fundraiser for GABR. Last year over $75,000 was raised and 20 dogs were adopted. Guardian Angel is responsible saving almost 2,400 bassets since 1997.
