David Schultz's Fundraising Page
My “quest” began two and a half years ago, after learning of Ryan’s diagnosis with DMD; the world’s most common fatal pediatric genetic disorder. Clearly, this was devastating…However, out of this darkness came the determination to save my son’s life. Maria and I have been focused on helping to find a treatment or cure for this disease, not only for Ryan but for all children who face a DMD diagnosis.
Last year I joined a Team that climbed Mt Rainier for boys with DMD, this year I will be competing at the NJ State Triathlon on July 24 & 25. My goal is to complete a Sprint and Olympic distance tri during this weekend.
It is amazing how this situation can push you to do things you never thought you were capable of doing. We will continue to try everything under the sun to raise money to help researchers and doctors find a treatment for this horrible disease. Please consider joining me in this physical endeavor by helping me to compete for all the boys who can't by donating perhaps $5, $10, $20....All donations are greatly appreciated and directed in full to DMD research.
With your support and generosity, we have been able to make a difference in this fight. We have contributed to therapies that hold true promise! For the first time in the history of DMD research, there are human clinical trials underway. None of this would be possible without you, our donors and friends.
