POLICE UNITY TOUR

 "We ride for those who died"

In May 1997, the Police Unity Tour was organized in an effort to bring about public awareness of law enforcement officers that have died in the line of duty and to honor their sacrifice. We do this by embarking on a 250 mile bike ride from Portsmouth, Va to Washington D C.  Each rider is responsible for raising $1800.00 to participate in the Tour. Each of us also are responsible for our own equipment, food, and transportation to and from the event, as well as donating the time for this 5 day event.  

    Hi folks, as the son of a retired police lieutenant and brother of a current police officer I am fully aware of the daily sacrifices that these people make to help keep our families safe and I am proud to be involved in such a worthy cause. This event is a total TEAM effort and you can now be a part of the team. Without your support this event and the Police Unity Tour itself could not be possible.  Please help keep the memories of these American heroes that gave their lives serving and protecting this great nation.
