"We Three for Audrey"
Dear Friends,
Heather Carlson, Destiny Kuykendall, & David Viland will be a triathalon relay team in the LifeTime Fitness Twin Cities Triathlon on July 9, 2011. Heather will swim 1 mile, David will bike 25 miles, and Destiny will run 10 K. "We Three for Audrey" are doing this in part to raise money for Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation. Audrey is David's 6 year old granddaughter, and she has Cornelia deLange Syndrome.
Cornelia deLange Syndrome is a developmental disability with mental, emotional, physical, and medical impacts. Though the disorder is not well known, current research is showing real potential for identifying treatment for the disorder. Yes, researchers believe meaningful treatment is not far off. This research is also helping to better understand many other developmental disabilities. But to continue at its current pace the research needs ongoing funding. Many other fund raising events are also happening across the country. Our goal is $1,000 for this event.
For the three of us we're working much harder for this cause than just the hard work of event day. Hours & hours, miles & miles of swimming, running and biking are happening every week as we all perpare for this event.
We're doing the heavy lifting. Will you consider joining us with another kind of lift? Your donation of any size - $5, $10, $25, $50, or maybe even $100 - would be a lift that will benefit Audrey and all others with this disorder.
You may make an online donation here on this page. If you prefer to make a donation by check, simply make your check payable to CDLS and give or mail to Heather, Destiny or Dave.
Thank you!
For Audrey . . .
