My goal is to fundraise $1,200.00 for the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) annual "Bowl For Kids' Sake" before September 16th, 2012.  At a preliminary event for this end-date, I went bowling with my BBBS team and rallied to bowl a 193 in my second game!

A little bit more about myself: I am a School-Based Match Coordinator for BBBS. I make and support matches between mentors (Bigs) and elementary school mentees (Littles). The Bigs meet with their Littles for one hour each week. They play games, read, do homework, create arts and crafts and share about their lives. Both the Bigs and Littles look forward to their weekly visits.

At the end of the year, I and my co-workers ask the Littles what they like most about having a mentor. One student of mine, John, told me, “It’s really hard to improve on perfection – I love my Big Brother.” Another student, Emma, said of her Big Sister Janet, "we would do a new art craft every week and I LOVED it!" It is incredibly rewarding to watch these relationships grow and develop over the years.

Your support of BBBS will allow our agency to continue creating more friendships, just like John and Emma's. We cannot do it without you!
