Lauraine Snelling, an award winning author (www.laurainesnelling.net) is writing a new book, and in the book she is writing a basset hound characteras the friend to a thoroughbred.  Lauraine has offered Basset Rescue Network, Inc the opportunity to hold a drawing for that character!!

The proceeds from this fundraising effort will go directly to Evelynn (aka EV)'s necessary surgery.  Evelynn was found by Carson Animal Shelter - emaciated and barely able to use her right rear leg, Evelynn was rescued by Basset Rescue Network, Inc., and came to Daphneyland for rehabilitation.  after consulting with 3 vets and a rehab specialist, EV now is in need of an MRI and surgery.  To meet this young one year old girl is to love her - and she deserves every chance at a wonderful and happy life - please share this page with all of your friends, if they don't have a basset hound, they can enter on your hounds behalf!
